The First Coast Association of Realist, (FCAR), is professional trade organization. We embrace the ideals and mission of “ Reimaging the Dream of Homeownership through Advocacy, Activism, and Action”. While our name suggests an organization of Real Estate Brokers, it is a professional real estate organization which includes membership from multiple disciplines in the real estate industry. We welcome professionals in all areas of real estate to join us and help promote our mission.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for all citizens to have the rights to equal housing while educating the community, promoting local businesses and networking as it relates to the Real Estate Industry.
Our local chapter began in 2010. Carla Carter accepted leadership role as the inaugural President with the name being First Coast Action Network. The name was changed to First Coast Association of Realist (FCAR) which was in alignment with the national bylaws.
Bank of America was the lending partner that allowed us to meet at their facility on Touchton Road in Jacksonville, Florida. The chapter met April 9, 2010 with the assistance of the National and Regional Leaders to assist with the election of officers. We are currently meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
